Let’s be honest, it’s been a bit of a year. And now with the festive season looming hard and fast, the last thing we want to do is to cook a huge Christmas meal featuring a turkey. When CUT at the Mondrian Doha offered to send me one of their Turkeys to Go, I jumped at the chance. One of my favorite restaurants at the moment – the food is always spot on and geared towards comfort and taste rather than show. This year they are offering a veritable feast for the festive season (and into January) which is not only delicious but great value. View this post on Instagram…

12 Cheeses of Christmas – Festive Goats Cheese

It’s a lovely and fresh round of creamy goat cheese (called a crottin) rolled in red peppercorns and topped of course with a festive (fake) holly sprig. It’s amazing how something as simple as peppercorns and a splash of red can make a humble hunk of cheese so Christmasy. Goat cheese is my go-to (see what I did there) cheese but even among my cheese loving friends it is divisive. Some people find the aroma and distinctive taste…

Dear Santa…
Dear Santa, Did I tell you how nice you look? This year I have been extra specially good. I’ve (mostly) played well with others (when they have been nice to me), only spoken to a couple of strange boys (ahem) and tried my hardest to be nice (even when people are clearly idiots). Because I this, I would like one of these in my Christmas stocking along with the usual bottle of Krug. Your bestest friend Rachel PS Red really suits you
