And we’re here – the last weekend of Ramadan. Eid awaits, but first, where to eat this weekend? Fear not, I have your Doha Ramadan weekend food guide for 28 to 30 April prepped and ready for your edification.
Get Ramentic at Ninja Ramen
The closest you will find to proper ramen in this city, Ninja Ramen has a well deserved fan base. And I am one of them. I popped in this week for an iftar fix and wasn’t disappointed. The miso ramen is my new favorite broth base – it’s veggie too for those who like it without meat. I add the chicken, an egg and lots of garlic chives to mine. Their Ramadan offer is a bowl of ramen with two toppings, a charshu rice bowl, water, dates and a dessert for QR59. Bookings recommended.

KBBQ at Yee Hwa
With a new chef and a new branch opening at DohaSouq soon, Yee Hwa has stepped up its 2022 KFood game thanks to their new Head Chef, Bae. I visited this week for the unlimited Korean BBQ offer for QR140 per person (Mondays and yep, paid for ourselves) which is a feast. This includes banchan (side dishes), miso soup, rice and a sweet treat at the end. They have a range of offers on other days of the week including unlimited BBQ and sushi on Fridays

Head South of the Border at Maya Doha
This place never ceases to impress with the quality of the food and the ambiance. While the margaritas are on hold until next week, their Merienda Menu (translated from the Spanish as “light tea”) is sure to please those looking for something different. at QR135 per person each diner gets a starter, main course and a dessert plus their famous guacamole. Their a la carte menu is available as well. Open from 6pm to 12am.

Catch some sunset vibes at Novecento
With the April evenings till not unpleasant (that’s such a very Doha saying), the beautiful new-ish terrace at the Intercontinental Doha gives some serious Riviera vibes. Open during Ramadan from sunset to 2am and the star of the menu are their tarte flambee – kind of like French-style pizza. These are rounds of wafer thin crisp bread with toppings like blue cheese and pear or mushrooms. Sweet lovers can also indulge in creations from celebrity pastry chef and Valrhona ambassador Dimitris Chronopoulos. Annnnnd, they also have shisha.
