The Best Doha Breakfast Spots Open During Ramadan

Advertisements

Perhaps the most asked question I have been getting this week is – what breakfast spots are open in Doha during Ramadan? The good news is that there is a great range of options to suit all kinds of morning cravings.

For my recommendations on where to eat after sunset, check my recent blog post here. But for those on the hunt, here’s my list of the best Doha breakfast spots open during Ramadan:

Public House

Instantly iconic when it opened a couple of months back, Public House at the Marsa Malaz is open for breakfast. Try the brie and jam tartine for a sweet/savory hit or the sublime bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. Opens 7am and closes 3pm and bookings recommended especially on weekends when this family friendly place is jammed.

Westin Doha

The hotel’s Seasonal Tastes is open throughout the Holy Month for breakfast and lunch from 6.30am. Try the fantastic egg dishes and of course the fresh buffet. Great for those living on the other side of town. Westin’s food offerings are underrated in my view.

Quick Bites

This West Bay stalwart never disappoints and as usual is open during Ramadan from 6am. On weekends I recommend booking ahead as it can fill up quickly. Their (multiple) takes on eggs benny are highly recommended as is the coffee (the bigger the cup the closer to….well you know). They also do an all-day breakfast with the “works” for those needed some extra sustenance.

Le Colonial

This breakfast spot at the Alwadi Hotel MGallery is my erstwhile morning haunt year round and during Ramadan it’s serving breakfast from 7am to 12pm. Order their beautifully constructed and umami laden savory crepes or their Le Parisienne set breakfast which comes with a fresh bakery basket, a cheese plate and the usual eggs. Special mention to their hash browns which are definitely not frozen. Service is friendly and fast. Heaven. Bookings highly recommended.

Ika

This gem at the Aleph Doha has set the foodie scene ablaze, and the spot is opening for breakfast in Ramadan. It’s a buffet so not the usual fare but expect some South American touches on the dishes available. It’s also price at a very reasonable QR95 per person and open from 6.30am to 10.30am (11am on weekends).
