Ramadan in Doha 2022 – and the age old question, where to find the best food and dining experience?Ramadan is Perhaps my one of my favorite times of year in Doha. Alas COVID has for the past two years put a stopper on this. Boooo! But here we are, back (almost) to normal. Most hotels and restaurants seem to be back to buffets and bigger offerings and there is also a growing number of other favorite restaurants choosing to open their doors in Ramadan.

Ramadan Under the Stars at Four Seasons Doha

Four Seasons is blessed with its own private beach and thanks to the lovely weather (seriously, anyone remember Ramadan in July?) this place is a little slice of heaven. Expect the usual FS red carpet treatment plus

The Iftar menu is available from 6pm to 8pm while the Suhoor menu is available from 10pm to 1.30am. Both menus are priced at QR 280 per person and reservations can be made through WhatsApp or by calling +974 44948888.

Mosaic at the Mandarin Oriental

Family friendly and with their usual scene stealing food, the MO’s Ramadan experience is being held in their spacious Mosaic restaurant. Buffet style with a few live cooking stations, check out their freshly made sushi plus the mixed grill. Every night they will have an enchanted forest storytelling area for kids.

Price: QR 240 per person for each Iftar and Suhour, including Ramadan beverages. Complimentary for children under 12 years and storytelling adventures access.

Iftar: Sunset – 8.30pm and Suhour: 9pm to 2am

Ramadan at Nobu

Life is a little better when Nobu opens for Ramadan.

Offered Monday through Saturday, from 6pm to 11pm. QAR 275 per person for a four-course set menu.

Hakkasan Doha Ramadan

Finally! Hakkasan is open for Ramadan and this foodie is doing laps of the Corniche to celebrate. Their iftar menu is offered in addition to their usual a la carte menu. And it’s a cracker – their famed dim sum in addition to salt and pepper squid are standouts but the smoked wagyu beef rib is….heaven.

Iftar is QR 298 per person; inclusive of juice.

375 Chicken N Fries

I just discovered this place and while the market is crowded, it’s head and shoulders above the rest. The chicken is fresh and importantly cooked to order. So it’s piping hot, crispy and packed with flavor. they have a range of offers this Ramadan and have three locations in Al Hilal, Lusail (love this location next to the water) and in Aspire.

Open from sunset daily – try the combo meals and the sandwiches.

Westin Doha

If you want a break from traditional Ramadan fare, the always excellent Sabai Thai is open from Sunset. For something more traditional, their under the stars experience is happening at the Luxe Terrace (seriously lovely with cabanas and shisha) from Sunset to 1am. Their Arabian Souq concept is QR230 for Iftar and Suhoor is QR250.

Riyasat

Easily one of my current favorite spots, Riyasat’s Indian menu has charmed a legion of fans. Their iftar set menu is like their greatest hits and a great chance to try something new.

Maya Doha

Another for those wanting a break from the usual Ramadan routine. Taco Tuesday remains in place (yassss) and their Ramadan Merienda menu with a selection of favorites and their famous guacamole is QR135 per person.

Lobito De Mar

More to come on this Dani Garcia spot – the perfect combo of great food and service. They will be open from 7pm for their a la carte menu and I recommend you give it a try for the paella alone. Seriously great food in a romantic spot by the water. As I said full review to come but here is a snapshot.

Levantine at Salwa Beach Resort

Definitely worth the drive, Levantine serves up food from Syria, Lebanon and the region. With a 1001-night style outdoor terrace with shisha and a set menu, it’s perfect. You can also opt for an iftar buffet in their Souk Kitchen restaurant.

Iftar buffet at Souk Kitchen is QR225 and Iftar at Levantine is a set menu for QR250

Suhoor at Levantine is an incredible QR98 per person

Sushi On

Another non-traditional spot for Ramadan and well worth checking out. My experience with this place is that it has some of the freshest and most fun sushi in town. iftar is QR199 and available daily from sunset to 8pm. TakeAway only (no dine in).

Alwadi Hotel MGallery

Get the royal treatment at the AlWadi this Ramadan. I love the food at this hotel and really it does sit under the foodie radar. Aside from their dramatic iftar, they are also offering suhoor served poolside – this really is a unique spot in Msheireb.

Iftar is QR220 (per person). Daily sunset to 8pm

Suhoor from 9pm is QR190 for a set menu
